Jim Newton
Principal and Founder, Bright Ideas

Newton has a passion for environmental issues, and with a strong background in science and technology, he founded Bright Ideas in 2003.

A successful entrepreneur since 1995, Newton is the founder of Computing Strategies, a consulting firm dedicated to providing quality computing and technology services and products based in the Bellevue, Washington area.

Prior to striking out on his own, Newton had an accomplished corporate career in management positions at Siemens, Medasys and Medical Data Systems from 1980 until 1995. He was named “Service Manager of the Year” for six years as field service district manager for Siemens, and achieved the highest profitability in the country for seven consecutive years in the same position.

Education
Newton graduated Summa Cum Laude from Siena Heights College in Southfield Michigan with a Bachelor of Applied Science in business administration.

He also holds a number of certificates including a Certificate of Completion in Electronic Engineering Technology from R.E.T.S. Electronic Schools, Detroit, Michigan.
